not Row-related, but i got my french painter style jacket, preloved with actual paint splatters, at Front Street General, great store. on second thought, reminiscent of the Jolene jacket, so maybe Row-related after all!
Love this store––I picked up a perfect 80s Ralph Lauren denim shirt there a few months ago. Go on a Saturday and add on a trip to Crowley Vintage just a few steps away!
The Row reminds me of the story The Emperor with No Clothes, it’s the sheer absurdity of it. Basic clothes that are priced ridiculously. If it was Couture pieces it would be something but seriously people need to wake up
Front Street is such a gem. It’s a blessing and a curse that I live in the neighborhood. Their new outpost down the block is also phenomenal. They have an excellent selection of (somewhat overpriced) Pleats Please and some true vintage gems. Also a fantastic selection of vintage 14k gold pieces. I have a pair of earrings and a paper clip necklace that are staples. The POV is everything. New York needs more stores like this.
Good for you! I think it’s bad to overpay for basic pieces.
